When you have a real live painter at your place…and A LOT of leftover paint…

You start to open doors and yell “In Here! In Here!” and that’s how I ended up with TWO freshly painted bathrooms…this is the downstairs loo…mid-paintin’.

Have you ever seen someone clear out a bathroom in under 2 minutes?
That paintbrush was full o’ paint and I was taking advantage of it. When the painter wasn’t looking, I played with his brush. No clue what brand it was…but it was the nicest brush I’d ever seen – the bristles were soft and almost like human hair. I gotta get me one of them brushes.
Benjamin Moore’s Hancock Green as far as the eye can see! I had enough fabric to do matching curtains for both rooms. Hurrah! Done.
Remember the not-so-handyman? This is what it looks like when the rod rips out of your drywall and you have to put a blue blanket over the window so that the neighbors don’t see your naughty bits. Super White Trash!

Thankfully my brother-in-law saved the day and fixed it for us the next day. The BIL is so handy that the Fiance often teases him that he could probably eat a tree and poop out a deck. That man needs to go into the contractor/handyman business. I’d be his best customer!
Tomorrow…remind me to tell you about how I fell asleep – in a restaurant on Saturday night. Who’s the dorkwad? I’m the dorkwad!

Eat a tree…and poop out a deck. Bob Vila’s new slogan!

OMG…eat a tree and poop out a deck. I am waiting for the day I can use that line.
I am so glad your paint drama appears to finally be drawing to a close! The green looks great. I practically held my painter hostage when I saw how much paint I had left (and how much he was at the whole painting thing than we were!).

Can he eat a washer and poop out a master bath? I seriously need one of those. Hancock Green rocks (the awesome designer used it in the original part (not shown) of her house and it’s so pretty and fresh.

The brush was most likely a Purdy. Ahhh, the Cadillac of paint brushes. Before I began my collection of Purdy brushes, I was very sloppy when cleaning them – never did bother to get ALL the paint bits out. But Purdy, sigh, I L.O.V.E. them – been using them for the past 12 years and each one looks as good as the day I brought them home from the store. Oh, yeah, they make a brush COMB that is a must when cleaning the bristles.
