Home Projects, I Love Upstate

We had friends over for dinner last night. Cause, like, that’s exactly what you do when you’ve had practically no sleep all week…you throw a dinner party. Thank God, the Fiance handled everything. He did a great job. He did the shopping and he made dinner – penne pasta w/ mussels, salad and wine. The Fiance even cleaned EVERYTHING up. Holy carp. The minute our guests left I fell on my face and passed out. I slept through till 8AM…like a baby.

I fell asleep last night thinking about grey wool and felt leaves and buttons. I headed straight to the sewing machine when I woke up. Here is coffee cozy number 2…

Here’s the one I made the other day that Amy won. It’s on the way to her with a special matching gift tag.

Why stop the craftiness? I took the thank you card that Lauren sent to me with the original art for my banner and upcycled that Mother…woohoo…woohoo…

It’s pouring rain out…perfect day to get extra crafty…and then head to a hockey game!

EDIT: I found another button, I think the cozy looks miles better with TWO buttons.

I also started an assembly line…yeehaa…I can’t wait to get small pearl buttons to make them look like fancy shirt cuffs!!

Thanks! I used to have a big stash of buttons but I got rid of them a few years ago. Grrr! That was the only button I had lying around. Hoping to pick up some pearly ones later today. I’ll have to start button-hunting at the junk shops…

There’s a really cheap sewing machine this week at Joann for like $25. It’s probably good enough for super light crafty things…or hemming curtains.

You are a freaking genius. I love this thing. And I love that you invented it. Now I think I have to make one with some scrap felt and tea towels. THANK YOUUUUU.

I wish I had invented it, I’d be a freakin’ millionaire. Alas, I did not invent the concept…
