Remember when you were like 5 or 6 years old and your Mom would stress the word STURDY when you went shoe shopping? My new Danskos make me feel 5. I love them. I am totally going to make my Mom use her thumb to press around the toe area to ensure I have ample room – then I’m gonna ask┬áher buy me an ice cream cone (mint chocolate chip @ Stewart’s). Damn. I love these shoes.

This piece of photographic art is titled “Dansko In A Cab With Leonard Cohen”. Hah!

I need to stretch out the strap and foot/front top area a little – otherwise…super comfy and above all else STURDY – just the way Mom wanted it. I could totally kick some ass on the playground with these.

Still working out the kinks on this new blog platform. When you see errors, let me know. Also, trying to figure out the Google Reader issue. On it!

Can I insert a plea for a clickable banner to point to Home? I’m a banner clicker addict. (You just need to insert the blog address into the banner code).

Wow. My mom never stressed “sturdy.” I always managed to pick out more practical shoes on my own somehow. (To this day the mother still buys some of the most impractical shoes imaginable. She’s a fashionista. What can I say?) :-)

Whew! Glad it wasn’t just me in one of my *stupid* days. (Google issue)I tried everything I could think of but nothing worked.

Hahaha…yes; I had to get sturdy shoes in school, too. I went to Catholic school, so they were both sturdy and ugly. My Born clogs arrived from eBay yesterday so I traipsed around the apartment in my new, improved sturdy shoes. Love them. I’m loving your little Mary Jane numbers.

I love my Danskos, and practically live in them. Love the color of yours.

    Great-looking shoes. Love the color.

This reminds me of shopping trips with my (single) father. His word was “practical”–he would snap clothing at the seams to check the craftsmanship and have to inspect every square inch for loose threads. No cute girly stuff for me–if I couldn’t romp around in it, we didn’t even slow down to look. Shopping with him was no fun–it’s amazing I can even bear it after those experiences.
