I love this blog, it has introduced me to so many new and exciting people. Attached to this little slice of the internet is Flickr where I store many of my pictures. I started a Salvation Army Refurb Flickr Group which I have renamed THRIFT STORE REFURBS a while back and a woman by the name of Bridget Navoda Giunta joined. Yay! I am constantly inspired by her vision. Bridget finds broken down unloved items and gives them a life grander than those items could ever have possibly longed for. Am I being too wistful? Too bad!

That crown/doggy tray makes me swoon. I want to put my earrings in it before I go to sleep. The chair? She found for $8, painted it the most awesome color blue and attached the front from a needlepoint pillow for the seat. Love it. Don’t get me started on that blue nightstand with the bird paper decoupaged on top, I could go on all night. The shelves to the top right? Was a falling apart hutch. She paid $1 for it. Now? Gorgeous book cabinet. the upholstered bench? It was previously a headboard/footboard.
Chicken wire, I can’t stop you.
Have you see this chandelier at Anthropologie? It’s $798.

I bet Bridie could whip one up for $20 with stuff stashed in her kitchen drawers and a quick trip to Michael’s for birds. You’re right, she probably already has the birds.

Love it! Thanks for hooking us up with other great blogs.
Am going to Miami area this weekend? Any thrifting spots I have to go to? Any at all?

Awesome! I kinda sorta make resale stuff like this for cheap, but when I try to get the big bucks (and I’m talking under $200) people don’t appreciate the amount of time that goes into it. People suck. And I’m drunk. So I shouldn’t be posting right now. Edit please if you need to. Thank you.

What a great group, I joined. I hope they let me post finds from other thrift stores, like my $2 Habitat for Humanity chairs, yea! I heart redone furniture.

Jessica – Thanks for joining! I’m the Admin. on that group so no worries about posting things from other thrift places/tag sales, etc. I should have named the group something else…I wasn’t being very creative that day! LOL

I’m going to be in West Palm Beach but I suck at SA shopping. I would walk right past something you’d buy, Jean. That said, I will give it a shot and call you if I see something possibly worthwhile…

Danny Seo just made a knockoff of that chandelier, and I immediately added it to my to-do list! (http://www.dailydanny.com/?p=1373)
I’m coveting that bookcase too!

What a fab idea for a flickr group! I’ve never flickred (I know, I know…the horror) but I should get together some of my crafty thrifty bits and hop over there with them! Yay…more time sucking fun for Laura!!
