It’s Monday night and all I want is to do it again! What a fun weekend. I boxed up stuff that was overpowering the house (things that need constant dusting make me batty) and started an awesome project. I’m about 1/3 of the way done creating my faux Anthropologie bird chandelier. This was my big Saturday night activity:
I spray painted some bamboo and other sticks silver for the perches. Will need to talk to Maude and gather some friends for her as well as a lighting kit. Next time I want to use chicken wire with smaller holes – all I could find was the 2-inch variety. Still, quite pleased so far. I managed to sprain my wrist working on it, but it was so much fun I couldn’t stop. Also, serious new addiction to silver metallic spray paint. May turn into Tin Man. So far have spent $1.50 for the shade, $3 for spray paint, $3.50 for the wire.
On Sunday the Fiance and I went to a bunch of tag sales and he scored a stairmaster for $20 and I picked up some Amy Butler craft stuff for 50cents. Joy! Later, we went to my sister’s gorgeous Hudson River home for a picnic.
Pictures: 1. Four men, a hockey stick and a can of gasoline = fire. 2. Geese and tons of babies that came to dine on my sister’s lawn during our picnic. 3. the cake we brought for dessert, the ants are HUGE. 4. the geese and babies swim away. 5. Cutter, who may have knocked up Molly again. 6. the bottles my sister and her family have found in the Hudson river. 7. Fiance with “Munchy” the kitten my niece adopted. 8. Andy & Silver – so fat they can barely share a chair now. 9. our ghetto marshmallow roast.
So, can we do it again? Like, now?
