I Mowed The Chair.

I Mowed The Chair.

I don’t think I’ll win any re-upholstery awards (check out that lump on the front right corner) but mohair is super hard to work with because it’s so thick…and because I’m just making it up as I go along and because that seat was as hard as a rock. Want a few more excuses?

There she is in all her mohair glory.

I love mohair. Have I mentioned that?

I forgot to show you the cookie cutters I picked up at the flea market on Sunday. My Mom had these cutters when I was a kid and I always loved using them. Now I have my own set. Yay!

The plastic cameo buttons were a must. I could not walk away from them.

I can not wait for this weekend! Am renting a cargo van and moving a bunch of furniture from one place to another. Extra sewing machine is going to my sister and lots of fabric to Mom. All the holiday stuff I’ve made is getting packed up till it’s needed. I’m also hanging out with Hallie and 2 chicks named Gina (for the record I collect Ginas and Heidis) this weekend. Yay!

What are your plans?

Looking at the receipt…the mohair was $13 for a yard but there was a 25% off sale AND I had a coupon. I paid $7.82. Holla!

Excellent work! Mohair is such a pain to work with…I’d say you did a pretty pro job.

I love the buttons. But then I’m a button collector.

Excellent choice on the mohair. I’ve sold it for nearly $200 per yard. $7.82 – perfection!

Holla! I think it looks faboo.

Fleaing in the a.m. on Saturday at a new place (new to me). And then hosting 25 people related to Mike for a soiree. Hiding under table and staying home all day Sunday (see aforementioned 25 relatives).

Hey we had those cookie cutters too. Did you also have the copper aspic molds? You know the rooster, the diamond embossed circle, the heart… I want to find a set of those so bad. I guess I need to get out of Desert Town and go find them in someplace that is older than 2006. ;)

    I think it looks great!

Need to consult you, as I am thinking about doing a slipcover for my recliner… I want something more… interesting…

Getting the apt painted while Maisy and I are in Florida next week so that the palette is fresh and clean. Sprucing the joint up!
