Now that I’m over my jet lag, a good head cold has settled in. Right on schedule. Grr. Oh well, this too shall pass.
I had quite a bit of fun at the Salvation Army on Saturday morning. Vintage apron, 6 packages of (3 pkgs. are hand painted!) old ornaments, needlepoint kitty picture that looks Tucker-ish and a wedding favor from 1986. Those are some super old jordan almonds. Ick!

Why did I buy the wedding favor? It was comprised of 6 matching teeny-tiny demitasse spoons! So cute. Love demitasse spoons when drinking tea. These favors musta been hella expensive to make, hope Oscar and Antonientta are still rockin’ the love. Will wash up the needlepoint kitty and make something silly. Love the look on the kitty’s face. Priceless.
Also wandered into Marshall’s and found a disco ball. Now tell me, how are you gonna pass up a disco ball? Next to the ball, a set of mini disco ball ornaments. They had to come home with me. It’s time we got this party started! Umm. Yeah…
Last night I started punching & sewing gift tags with scrap fabric.

Of course my crack team of assistants was right there ready to help.

The little French flag was Penny’s idea.

What are you doing today? Penny and I are thinking about sitting on our butts and watching the world go by.

Those spoons are crazy! Either that was a small wedding or money was no object…
I’m with Penny. Definitely a day for sitting around on our butts!

You almost tempted me to get out the sewing machine out…but sipping hot cocoa with marshmallows, catalog shopping and watching movies won out. Great photo of Penny.

LOL I’ve been doing a little of both…
As my Mom would say “do a little, sit a little, do a little, sit a little”.

Great finds! The kitty needlepoint is especially cute, but hand painted ornaments! Wow!

Oh the tags came out great! I am very inspired. My weekend looked more like, “Eat a little, drink a little, eat a little, drink a little. Eat, eat, eat, eat a little drink a lot.”
AND…found a fab place in Red Bank NJ for vintage fabrics and notions. You would have mega squeeled!! To be blogged. I’m all blog backed up.
Hope you’re feeling better!
