Ever since our trip to Brussels, I’ve been on a bit of a Belgium kick. I must get back to Belgium, loved it! It was everything I love about France minus everything I dislike about France. It’s arty without being obnoxious. It’s beautiful without being pompous. It’s stylish without being snotty. The people also seem to have an awesome sense of humor. Really.
Twice this week I’ve found myself in a Belgian restaurant.

Only once did it end with a waffle. I must try harder.

Diana – Yup! The one on 17th Street is better than the one on 20Th Street.

When I worked on 16th St. that Petit Abeille had just opened and we would all get take out frites for lunch. It’s no wonder I gained weight at that job…
Looking forward to a “real meal” there…which may be frites and a waffle pour moi. It’s a magical combination, really.

I completely agree with your assessment of Belgium. I spent a week in Antwerp and I really enjoyed the whole shebang.
