I Love Upstate, RanDUMB

Hide & Go Seek.

Hey, do you see something behind that big tree on the right? Someone hiding in my backyard?

It’s Horsey! Maybe you remember Horsey from this post or this post?

If you look close you’ll see Super Gay Andy out there too. He and Horsey hang out a lot.

Here’s a closer shot of SGA…

Wow, Horsey has gotten a tad…chubby. How many apples a day does my Mom toss at him?

I kid. I kid. I don’t know enough about horses to say what kind he is, but he’s super stocky. Almost Clydesdale-ish.

I love having a horse in my backyard – especially when I don’t have to take care of him!

Catching up on my email from the last week. and there was an a coincidental pairing of your post about Horsey with a horse news post about people in England being charged with animal cruelty for a having an obese pony. I doubt they did it to be cruel. It is difficult to take care of livestock and times are tough for horses so any horse with a home and food is extremely lucky. I am curious as to the breed of Horsey, the draft breeds are heavy and Morgans in a feeding experiment I read about became too fat to fit through the barn door. He looks well padded and I would love to sit on his comfy back. Still, there are serious health risks for overweight horses and any type of improper feeding can be fatal. (Never give him wilted grass to eat.) I hope Horsey is receiving routine vet checks and vaccines.
