Who’s the crappy blogger? Well, me. Am super excited about a few personal book projects – but they are sucking my evenings and weekends dry. I haven’t had time to work on Renovation Therapy or any of my usual crafty projects.
Yeah, I know, world’s smallest violin… LOL!
Today. Today. Today. The kitties and I took the day off. By that I mean I stayed in my jammies, had 3 conference calls, slipcovered an ottoman, baked 3 baguettes, and ordered a new monitor for my computer.
Have I mentioned that I don’t really watch tv?
First, the bread.
Yeast, Water, Sugar…

Add the flour and salt…

Let it set for a long time. Bake. Then you end up with this:

Which tastes MUCH better than it looks.
The ottoman? Thanks for asking. Remember the silly monkey curtains I scored for $25? The curtains came with a bedskirt. The bedskirt, is now an ottoman slipcover. A little cutting, a little sewing, a little seam-ripping, a little more sewing = a lot more monkeys.

Penny helped.

Love the monkeys! I’m finally ready “My Life in France” and it’s great, I love it!
btw I don’t think you’re a crappy blogger- you post more often than I do. Maybe that means I’m just crappi-er. Anyway, I nominated you for a kreativ blogger award. Congrats!

Wow you’re becoming quite the seamstress. That slipcover looks much more complicated than novice. Congrats!!! On the bread too. Rustica is all the rage

Pam – You are too kind. I put a lot less effort into that ottoman than it looks. The bedskirt already had the ruffled trim so it was just a matter of wrapping it around, cutting off the excess and sewing a new topper.

I think the bread looks pretty freakin’ good so if it tastes better than it looks, wowza.
World’s smallest violin’s been playing for me lately, too, lol! And totally no sympathy from Mike, even on days I work for 10 hours and manage to squeeze out actual tears when I get home.

Your couch looks awesome… I always love to see into people’s living spaces. I really like your monkey ottoman.

Thanks. I have a chesterfield couch addiction. When I saw 2 custom velvet chesterfield couches come up on auction I almost piddled. I got them for a song!
