Last night I went out for beers with a bunch of suppa-creative girls from the world of Publishing & Television. We were out quite late (ouchie, my head). Everyone brought a bag of crafty supplies that they nolonger wanted. You know, scraps of fabric, ribbon, yarn, fancy papers, trim, books, etc. and we sorted through the big pile and took what we wanted. I think everyone went home happy. I know I did! Got some awesome scores! Love all the fabric squares I nabbed from Kim and enjoyed meeting her friend Maura who wrote the Crafternoon book. Alyssa was the first person on the scene and showed me the Eiffel tower fabric she had, that went in my bag faster than you can say Blue Moon Beer. Juliet brought lots of yarn which will make my friend Meredith super happy.

Do you see that pink tea cup & saucer? The fabulous Laura brought that specifically for me. It’s very similar to the one I bought on our trip to Belgium last fall. Yay!
Had to take pics of the tea cups with the shoes. It’s like a cluster of happy gold.

I was psyched to score some fabric paint too! I’ve been on a bit of a stamping-homemade-ribbon bender.

Wheeee! Next time I’ll tea stain the cotton.

Aw…I’m glad you like the tea cup. “Think of me” when you look at it.
Judging by your scores I should have blown off my interview. If for nothing else than for the opportunity to arm wrestle you for the Eiffel Tour fabric.
The stamped ribbon came out terrific! And the name of the store we were struggling with is Tinsel Trading. My brain almost exploded, but I finally was able to come up with it.

I went past it in a cab today and scared the crap out of the cabbie when I yelled “TINSEL TRADING!!”. LOL

I love those shoes. Who is the designer?

I saw Think of Me on the teacup and immediately started singing Phantom of the Opera.
Darn you.

Nice score! I wish I had more crafty friends to do swaps with. Most of them are stamper/scrapbookers which I have noooo interest in. I’m a fabric and stitching kinda gal.
Thanks for the link to the Long Thread via Twitter the other day. My husband and kids are now doomed as I close myself in the office to craft my days away.

The owner of Tinsel Trading lives in my town… it’s a funky old family biz.

Love this.. a friend of mine has occasional craft nights.. but they’re not like this one. I like the idea of swapping supplies. I’m mainly interested in the drinking though.. and it’s 8:35am. I may have a problem.

BTW, that ribbon is rockin. What are you going to do with it?

Claudine – I’ll use it to tie around small special gifts. Valentine’s is coming…
